Kameron selected for CONCACAF competition

Congratulations go to Kameron Mendez for being selected for the Cayman Islands Mens under-20s squad for the upcoming 2018 CONCACAF under-20 Championship.

It is the 6th edition of the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship and will be hosted at Bradenton, Florida, United States between 1–21 November 2018.

A new format was announced, removing the regional Central American and Caribbean qualifiers and guaranteeing each entrant a minimum of four competitive games.

The Cayman Islands will appear in Group F alongside El Salvador, Guatemala, Curacao and Guyano.

The competition will determine the four CONCACAF representatives at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland. It will also determine the CONCACAF teams playing at the 2019 Pan American Games men's football tournament in Lima.

Kameron is the leading scorer for the Phoenix Sports Reserves side this Season with 4 goals and has also played for other Youth sides at the club. He is expected to follow the path of many others at Phoenix and progress in to the First Team before moving on to even higher levels.

Well done Kameron, we look forward to looking out for how the team does!
