Academy fights back after early goal to win against VCD in FA Youth Cup

The Phoenix Academy team have progressed to the next round of the FA Youth Cup after beating local rivals VCD in a thrilling clash last night.

After going 1-0 down after just two minutes, the boys dug deep and fought back, eventually sealing the win with two second half goals from Manny Oshinowo and John Walpole, with Alfie Aldridge getting two assists!

In fact, the actual screamer of a winning goal was scored in injury time!

The Academy will now face Dartford in the next round - to be played Monday 18th September at Mayplace Road East.
