Albert and Alan need no introduction to Non League football fans in this area as they are well known for their long standing involvement at Thamesmead Town. Albert was an original founder of Thamesmead Town almost 50 years ago and was joined soon after by Alan where together they oversaw great success for the club including a spell around ten years ago that saw them promoted from the Kent League to the Isthmian Premier.
As was well documented the club hit hard times under new leadership, poor decisions were made and in the last month the club was forced to fold.
With the knowledge and passion for local football that they both have it was an easy move for Phoenix Sports to offer them a new home and we are overjoyed that they have accepted positions on our Committee. In no way can we replace what they had at Thamesmead but we hope we can put a smile back on their faces again after the ordeal they have just gone through. You cannot buy experience like theirs and with them on board we hope they will help us to continue driving our club forward.

We would also like to open our doors to others at Thamesmead Town aswell and as a result;

All existing Thamesmead Town Season Ticket holders will be able to use their passes at Phoenix Sports throughout the 2018-19 Season. Simply put, Season Ticket holders will gain access to Phoenix Sports games free of charge.

In addition to that any existing Thamesmead Town members will be able to enter our ground at the same Concession rate as Phoenix Sports members.

We have admired the work that has gone on at Thamesmead Town over the years and indeed used them as a model to help grow our ourselves into a similar proud family-orientated club. Those that do to turn-up for a game at the Mayplace will soon see that we are also a friendly bunch with lots of familiar faces and just like them simply love watching a game, and having a drink!

Phoenix Sports next home game is a League fixture, this Saturday, against Ramsgate.
