Phoenix Sports ripped their visitors apart in the first 45 minutes to take a 4-1 lead into the break before adding another in the second half to comfortably take the points.
The hosts started brightly and should have scored earlier than they finally did but the breakthrough came in the 17th minute thanks to a superb Zak Bryon volley from the edge of the box. The same player then added the next from close range soon after before Kenny Aileru got the third on the half hour mark.
Matt Day headed East Grinstead back into the game but Jeff Duah-Kessie soon restored the three goal cushion when firing into the top corner from distance. A true goal of the season contender just before the half time whistle.
Phoenix started where they left off after the break and Duah-Kessie quickly got the 5th with a smart half-volley.
The visitors made changes to try to reduce the scoreline and that helped them to improve but ultimately this was not to be their day and Phoenix were able to see the game out.
