Ahead of today’s game with Sittingbourne I have sat down with our man mountain, Dexter Peter.

Good Afternoon Dexter, After victory at Hythe Town confirming our safety, How does it feel now to be able to go into our final two games without any pressure?

DP - It felt very good knowing that the club is safe, I felt happy for the manager that he can now relax because I see what he does for the club and I felt happy for the players that they don’t have to get a relegation on their football CV.

A tough battle we’ve had recently… can you share with us what goes through a defenders mind when you know you are in for a tough game?

DP - I’m a very chilled and a relaxed player so truthfully it doesn’t really effect me, I take it game by game and striker by striker if that makes sense. Most importantly I make sure my preparation is how it normally is for the game.

What has been your favourite game of the season so far?

DP - Probably the Hythe Town game, the reason being knowing that we are safe after wining!

Since your arrival you have been a fan favourite! How has their support helped your performance and the team performance?

DP - It has helped us massively knowing that win or lose or draw they are still on our side and still support us the fans make the club. We do it for them!

Our last home game of the season against Sittingbourne… are you hoping you could get a goal in front of the home support before the season is over?

DP - Yes, I will try my very best.

Thank you Dexter, we look forward to this afternoon hosting Sittingbourne in front of the loyal supporters of Phoenix Sports!
