In what turned out to be a five goal thriller, midfielder and Phoenix Sports fan favourite, Jack 'Hoppo' Hopkins bagged himself a hat-trick and the match ball in the process.

Hopkins got Phoenix off to a flying start, notching up his first goal in just 7 minutes, with the score staying as Steyning Town 0-1 Phoenix Sports for the remainder of the first half.

As the team's emerged for the second, the boys in green were immediately searching for another goal. And it took just 10 minutes for Hoppo to hit the back of the net again - Steyning Town 0-2 Phoenix Sports.

A mere two minutes later and Phoenix striker Frankie Sawyer fired home the rebound from a Jack Barham header that clattered off the crossbar. Steyning Town 0-3 Phoenix Sports.

Phoenix continued the search for more goals, with Barham coming close as he watch his shot whistle past the bar.

Steyning remained defiant, battling for every single ball, never giving up, but following some substitutions, the away team's new signing Kyron Mundle-Smith grabbed his first goal for Phoenix in the 84th minute, and their fourth of the day. Steyning Town 0-4 Phoenix Sports.

And then as the match hit its 90th minute, Hoppo wasn't going to miss the opportunity to make sure the match ball would be travelling back to South East London on the coach, as he netted his third goal of the day - Steyning Town 0-5 Phoenix Sports.

Phoenix now progress to the 1st Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup with a home fixture against Eastbourne Town on Saturday, 2nd September.
