Cray Wanderers remain clear at the top of the table after a deserved but narrow win at neighbours Phoenix Sports. Cray settled early, having numerous chances before finally taking the lead on the half hour. Karl Dent capitalising on hesitancy in the defence to run clear and slide the ball home. Nick Blue was only called in to action once before the break but was alert enough to save well from a Jeff Duah-Kessie effort.
It was more of the same in the second half with Joe Taylor and the impressive Dent each testing Steve Phillips in the Phoenix goal. The hosts had the best chance though against the run of play and really should have equalised but Kenny Aileru fired wide with the goal at his mercy. Blue denied Kweku Ansah in the final minute leaving the points to deservedly go home with the leaders.
