The Mayplace Ground
Phoenix Sports Reserves seem to be turning the Mayplace Ground into a fortress as they upset SC Thamesmead to go 5 games unbeaten on their home patch. Charlie Tagg got the only goal of the game and what a cracker it was too as he smashed home from distance to give his side the win and a 3 point gap over the side at the bottom.
Unbelievable result for the boys today wining 1-0 against a very good @SCThamesmeadFC
This young team were disciplined and resilient till the very end,and even when our back line was penetrated, they found GK Martin Grant In supreme form. Charlie Tagg - what a goal fella

On a day of so many great SCEFL performances the best one probably came at Glentworth Sports as Kent Football United put on a second-half masterclass to give Rochester United a 7-0 hiding. A solitary Ashley Bertrand goal in the first 45 minutes was added to with six more by the hosts in the second 45 with Bertrand completing his hat-trick, Adam O'Neill getting two and Gareth Jones and Luke Markey adding one each. KFU are now just 2 points behind their 14th placed visitors. Lewisham Borough made it 3 wins in a row to close in on a top-half First Division place. FC Elmstead were no match for their hosts at the Ladywell Arena as the home side ran out 5-0 winners. Tashan Adeyinke scored a hat-trick on debut with Michael Daramola and Josh Owens getting the other two for the now 10th placed Lewisham. Forest Hill Park are one place ahead of their flatmates after a 4th win in a row, this time at Meridian VP. With games in hand on the sides ahead of them FHP could progress further up the table if they continue their run although the hosts only fell to a solitary Kameiko Pope-Campbell goal.

It is Snodland Town that are on the base as their new management team saw could not help them in a 4-2 loss at Stansfeld. The hosts scored through Freddie Cray, Billy Shinners, Berti Vallie and Harry Gamble to get over a rough patch that has kept them out of the collection of contenders. The visitors gained goals from Dave Sherwood and Kevin Everest and will gain confidence from an improved performance.
