Parky moves from Welling to Concord

Our Academy Head Coack Jack Parkinson left Welling United a few days ago after not fitting in with the plans of new boss Steve King and it has not taken him long to find a home at fellow National League South club Concord Rangers.

Jack, who plays centre-back or holding midfield, has played for a host of clubs around this level including Maidenhead, Woking, Dover and Maidstone and is sure to be involved as part of the Management Team being a UEFA A Licence Coach.

That Management Team contains Sammy Moore and Jack Midson who have been part of a big turnaround at Concord for this Season on and off the field. They are sure to be contenders for honours come the end of the Campaign.

We will get to see them in action pretty soon as Concord will be playing our First Team in a Pre-Season Friendly here at The Mayplace on the 26th July.

The other three coaches at the Academy are also likely to start this next Season at different clubs to last, as Rob has gone to Sevenoaks Town, Liam to Walton Casuals and Alfie Pavey is likely to leave his current club Dartford. All this will not deflect from their duties with the next crop of talented youngsters ready to embark on the next steps of their footballing journey with us at Phoenix.

The current Academy squad are soon flying out to Portugal for their Summer Tour in the Algarve after a very Successful Season in the u19 Leagues.
