After drawing 1 – 1 away at Stansfeld last week, Phoenix looked to get back to winning ways against a Fisher side sitting 3rd in the table and looking to push for one of the promotion slots.

First team manager Paul Bryon was in attendance and Phoenix looked dangerous in the early part of the game and had several chances that were squandered.

Fisher went in at the break a goal up courtesy of Harry Draper’s bundled finish in the 23rd minute.

Ben Kotey said: I thought on the night Fisher were the better side, and we were lucky to come in at half-time only 1-0. We made a couple of changes for the second half, bringing in David Adekoya (just returning to the team) and Billy Reavill, and the defence looked a little bit more solid. We tried to play out, still trying to get our wing-backs involved in the game. The two lads that started the game, it was their first run out this evening so I wanted to have a look at them and see what they had. Even though it was an important game, I’d try to give players’ opportunities. You won’t find out about players’ if you don’t put them in games when it matters.
It was their first game so certain things they did well and other things they could improve on and they know how I feel, so it’s just a case of having another look at these players and see what they’re about.
Richie Hamill, who played for Phoenix, until a couple of seasons back, chipped his left-footed free-kick from the edge of the box over the wall but Boughtflower stepped to his left to make a comfortable catch at head height.

Striker Trey Small scored for Fisher in the 66th minute, with a volley into the top right hand corner.
Phoenix were awarded a penalty when Referee Christopher Dodd judged Haidarovic pulled back Billy Reavill inside the box. Tarik Ibrahim stepped up and hit a shot which was comfortably held by the Fisher keeper diving low to his left.
Fisher then took a hold of the game although Phoenix had another chance near the end when Reavill whipped in a cross from the right which was cleared out to Jonny Miller, who smacked a shot towards the roof of the net, which was pushed over the bar by the keeper.

Matthew Ramsamy, who came off the bench in the 73rd minute, scored the third goal in time added on when Brown flashed in a low cross from the right towards the far post for Ramsamy to steer his shot home.
