Who will be next on the way to success???

The 2017-18 Season once again showed that Phoenix Sports Club is the place to play if you want to nurture and improve your footballing talents.

Our latest high profile success story was Ben Allen as the youngster sealed a 2 year scholarship with League 2 side Gillingham FC. Ben has passed through our Junior sides and played for the Reserves and Mens First Team. All that had coached him and seen him progress knew that he could make his way to a League club and we wish him the best of luck in his time at the Gills. There is plenty of hard work to go but the young man has it in him to make it to the top.

Another player that has made a step up in this past year is Christie Pattison. Christie had been in our First Team for a long time and has Green blood running through his veins. He has just made the move to National League side Braintree Town via a short spell at Carshalton Athletic. The exciting attacker now has the platform to showcase his skills and all at Phoenix know that he will succeed at that level and beyond.

The National League will also play host to Jack Barham this season. The prolific striker started season 2017-18 with us and scored plenty before switching to Greenwich Borough and now on to Barnet FC. He has a two year contract at Underhill and the Bees fans will get to see him hit the net plenty of times in that spell.

So now that 2018-19 is underway we wait to see which star of the future makes their breakthrough at The Mayplace. We have over 20 Junior Teams and a Saturday School, that are all highly coached to nurture and identify the talent of the future. Progress can be made through the Youth sides and Academy to our mens sides that play at Steps 4 and 6 of the Non League Pyramid. A look inside those sides will see a whole host of young talent getting game time in Mens football as they improve and showcase the skills that could be gracing Football League pitches in the future.
