George Mortlock grabs gold for Team GB at the World Transplant Games in Malaga.

Phoenix Sports Chairman, Andy Mortlock is beaming with pride as his son George grabs gold at The World Transplant Games in Malaga.

George, who had a kidney transplant when he was just 23-months-old, was selected to represent Team GB in golf at The Games in Spain, and yesterday he came out on top in the individual competition, accumulating the best gross score of the day and grabbing gold.

The World Transplant Games celebrates the gift of life that all the participants received from their brave donor families, whilst encouraging more people to sign up to the organ donor register.

All the athletes competing, including George, are ambassadors for the value of organ donation and give hope to people on transplant waiting lists - showing them that anything is still possible, and to never give up hope.

And George has done just that with his gold winning performance, which he hopes to repeat in the team competition tomorrow.

Well done George. All of the wider Phoenix Family are incredibly proud of your achievement and wish you the very best for Thursday.
